Seeking the Truth #4: An ally of Federation
11 May 2021Patrick Bietruch
Another day, another entry.Made it to the next system with another "Anomalous signal", the SYNUEFUAE GZ-D D13-19 system. As expected, the signal source was far away from the main sequence star. Same as last time no signs of any destruction at the signal source. Here is the message I got after dropping in:
> Anomalous signal detected
> Bandwidth insufficient
> Adjusting downlink parameters
> Bandwidth secured
> Downlink proceeding
> Loading [Ecnrypted files]...
>>> MATCHING SIGNAL DETECTED: PROOE DRYOAE LX-A D1-38.
> Time Stamp Predates Parameters.
> Approximate time frame: June 29 Year 3290
The Federation started sniffing around, we weren't 100% sure but now it's obvious. Federal agents stay close to me when I'm in their space. The rest of the team report the same.
That's very bad. Bad, but not tragic, we can still get out of this, but we'll have to change a few things around. First of all, we cannot visit the federal space anymore. This complicates matters, because now we can't buy equipment at their starports, which means a longer time to obtain materials. Second, when we see a federation agent in supercruise, we immediately jump to another system, we do it until we lose them.
I have always considered myself an ally of the Federation. Basically, for as long as I can remember, I've been with them, never with the Empire. Now, it seems I must change my feelings towards my enemy.

The next signal comes from PROOE DRYOAE LX-A D1-38. I'll go there after I get some sleep.
When I read my father's entry I'd found last time I didn't think things would turn out this way. From the entry found today, it appears the Federation is actually following them. I wonder what happened next. Only one way to find out. However, one more thing surprises me: my father always taught me that the Federation is the true good faction and it is weird seeing him consider the option of turning his back to them.
