The Search for Life #32

Captain's log star date December 2, 3306 10:30

With all maintenance completed, and the ship systems all fully up and running, we are just about to get underway with todays trip. The science team dose have the auto filter and processing programs in place in the stellar processing and plotting. This system will be further tested out today and any adjustments needed will be made. If they do get it fully right today, we will working on automating the rest of the system, once we reach the final waypoint of this Leg.

11:45
We have reached Blae Eork YG-Q b52-0 the 1/2 way, point of the day's plan. depending on any downtime and amounts of research along the way, we should arrive at Eta Carina Sector EL-Y d19 around 14:00. So far todays flight has been uneventful, other than gathering Stellar data and such. to this point we have found little of scientific interest, but the region is full of geologic sites, the geo data has been transmitted back to Canonn and EDSM for further study.

12:00
Our next jump from Blae Eork YG-Q b52-0 took us into the TR 16 Sector. We have received several patrol signals for the area, and have flagged it for further long term study. With the sector flagged we will be moving quickly through the sector.

12:15
We are now entering the Eta Carina Nebula. Although the nebula is scheduled for long term study at a later date, We will be passing slowly from here gathering as much data as possible. Based on the fact we are a day ahead of schedule, we may take on some Patrol points if they come up near our flight path.

13:00
We have arrived at Eta Carina Sector EL-Y d19 and have started our system scans. This system is also a Canonn patrol point, and there are several bio and geo signals on many of the planets in the system. Our science team will plot random signals for testing now, then we shall move on to the next point.

13:45
We have concluded the orbital scan and searched the NSP'S so far we have found a Luteolum Lagrange Cloud, Roseum Silicate Crystals, Solid Mineral Spheres, Lindigoticum Silicate Crystals, and Albulus Bell Mollusc. we have set down on 1 C A to start the surface and bio scans, as well as to set up a quick mining operation to gather some Geo samples.

16:26
Mining operation have been completed and ship has been resupplied. Also ran a full maintenance cycle while we were planeside. We are now continuing on with Bio scans in the system. So far all we found in planetary scans are the ever popular bark mounds.

17:17
We have concluded the scans here in Eta Carina Sector EL-Y d19 and are moving on to Eta Carina Sector JH-V c2-9 the next waypoint on this leg, as well as a Canonn patrol system, again we shall do the same d-scan FSS scan and a few random Bio signals on this trip. The Scans in d19 provided us with more bark mounds as well as Lividum Brain Tree, Roseum Brain Tree, and  Gypseeum Brain Tree

18:05
D-Scan and FSS scan in Eta Carina Sector JH-V c2-9 gave us 2 DSS scan targets and 5 bio signals on Planet 5 A. The random Bio scans gave us (you guessed it) Bark Mounds. The NSP in the system however provided us with A lot of new data. The First NSP was deep on the rings of planet 8 But did give us data on Rubeum Metallic Crystals,  and Flavum Silicate Crystals. If there were any other life forms there finding them amongst the ring Made it near impossible, at the second NSP we discovered nestled deep in a  Flavum Silicate Crystals, Luteolum Bell Mollusc, Flavum Ice Crystals.

18:30
Eta Carina Sector JR-W d1-12 gave us Rubeum Silicate Crystals, Purpureum Metallic Crystals, Purpureum Silicate Crystals, and Prasinum Metallic Crystals and not much else, other than stellar data, our next stop is Waypoint 6 Blae Eork PZ-D d13-13 just a jump away.

19:15
We have docked with the Antelope here in Blae Eork PZ-D d13-13. This ends this leg of the trip. We will be docked here overnight. the crew of the carrier will be running all maintenance checks and repairs over the next 12 hours or so.
We will be spending some time tonight and tomorrow working on getting all the data processed that we gathered, and then installing some more Auto processing programs on board. The Science tech's figure they should have the whole program automated later on tomorrow afternoon. Depending on the success and time of the auto program, we may do some light exploring in the area prior to Saturdays Final leg.

For now though we are going to head to the carrier lounge, for some fresh food, relax for a bit and get some rest.
Do you like it?
