Return to the Dull Life #12
30 Dec 2020Rsassman
Captain's log, December 30, 3306 13:30We have been released from the classified mission for the Federation, Although they did compensate us, for our time, we are extremely far from where we need to be to finish this mission on schedule, Our daily goals needed have gone from 135m/day to just over 191m/day still doable, but will take a few long days to get beck on track. With that said, we are prepping the Grinch for Departure back to Robigo, to begin the catch up process.
As we travel, back to Robigo, We will (although it will slow the trip) be doing as much FSS scanning as possible along the way, just to help get a cash flow into the positive. To minimize the lost time, we will be doing as much of the scans during refueling.
14:33
We Departed the Station, and headed to Robigo, at 13:45
The plight time normally would be about 16 minuets, but adding it the scan time we were close to 45 minutes, The scanning did give us 3,487,919.00. Not a major pay, but it was enough to push us $785,863 positive for the day. A Start at least.
Ship Boarding has begun and we will be heading out on todays mission shortly.
15:00
Somedays you just can not catch a break, and this day is one of them. After returning to Robigo Mines, we were planning on very routine missions, but that plan went out the window, on mission #1 returning to base with a completed set of Missions, an FSD failure occurred, nearly crashing us into the sun. Damage to the ship is not all that great, but it will be costly to repair, and cause a lot more time lost today. We are now heading to Hauser's Reach for repairs.
15:10
Estimated time of repairs is just about 90 min, not as bad as we were expecting. This will give us time to relax for a bit, and visit the Robigo café for a late lunch.
18:40
Well 90 minutes turned into 3.5 hours. The ship is ready, and we are making preparation's to get underway again. The Lengthy delay gave us time to continue work on the new data processor. Still a very long way to go but its defiantly coming along nicely.
21:35
Its late, the crew is tired, its been a long day, which did not go nearly as well as we hoped. We will go again tomorrow. Hopefully we can reach the daily goal then. With it being several days since we reached a daily goal, we are all starting to feel the aggravation this type of mission can have, and being as long as a mission that it is, just adds stress to everything.
At this point if tomorrow dose not start well, we just might take the day in space dock. With it also being new years eve tomorrow i know myself as well as the crew would welcome time to enjoy some of the evening's festivity's. Alas we shall see what tomorrow brings.
