Captain's log, January 2, 3307 10:00As stated the last entry We did take the down day yesterday. We did Get most of the light work that we wanted to get done, in a couple of hours. The crew worked in shifts so no team was active for more than an hour. And it is amazing just what We managed to get done.
1. Minor tweaks were taken care of as the first part of the day.
2. We took a Short test flight to mine some goods, all checked out and the ship worked better than planned.
3. Head to Earth, for some R&R
4. We completed the Financial Mission program. Works great so far will be fully testing it out today. This is the first piece for our new Mission Tracking and Analyzer An all in one program to track Missions as well as our career. Once tested and at 100% we will continue to expand the program.
With the completion of the program phase, and preliminary testing, we decided to forgo the trip to Jamison and save the tasks there for another day.
Still here at Abraham Lincoln station in earth orbit, we are upgrading a few systems that the pilots federation as requested that we test out for them. Once the systems are set, we will be beginning the adventure of today. What that will be, we do not yet have a plan but will have one by the time we undock.
13:50
The new systems that were added for us to check out worked but contained several bugs that were affecting the ship systems. After disabling them We started Mining operations and all was going well with the days plan.
All our ships were transported to Jameson Memorial for finalization, And our first mining load was a big one, netting ocer 60 mill.

*Pilots Federation ALERT*
Large numbers of Thargoid vessels are swarming through multiple inhabited systems, leading to urgent calls for assistance.
In what appears to be a coordinated strike, Thargoid scouts and interceptors have appeared throughout the Coalsack and Witch Head Nebulas. Local security ships have engaged them in combat, but report being overwhelmed.
The Alliance has a considerable presence in these regions, with four starports recently constructed in the Coalsack Nebula. But the Alliance Defense Force has not been able to mobilize in time to prevent some systems from becoming infested with Thargoids.
Admiral Aden Tanner, chief military liaison for Aegis, made this announcement:
“This is a resurgence of Thargoid activity on a scale that we have not witnessed for a long time. Unfortunately, drastic reductions in funding and resources mean that Aegis is unable to provide adequate defensive measures.”
“We urgently request support from independent pilots and anti-xeno squadrons. It is critical that we prevent the Thargoids from dominating these nebulas and wiping out many thousands of people.”
Our entire Squadron, along with other allied squadrons have received orders from the pilots federation to aid in the fight. Our orders are not on the front lines of the invasion, but rather we will be sent the HR 1183 system in the Pleiades sector, to provide support for Xeno Hunting in the area. This will be our base of operation for the time being. This area in on the edge Thargoid space. All reports are that this region is being used now as a staging area for the Thargoids, and running support to and from the Witch Head Nebula. Our squadrons assignment is to aid in the disruption of the enemy support lines. The BPRV Antelope (Q5N-0VB) has already begun making preparations for the jump. I will be taking my crew to Jamison Memorial to prep a ship for the anti-xeno mission, and meet up with the antelope as soon as we are ready.
23:06
We have arrived at the antelope, And are awaiting further orders from the local command. for now all is quiet, but not likely that it will stay this way for long.
