Bentham station, HIP 12314.

Familiarity with a ship, especially a newly specified build or conversion, is vital for long term survival out in the black....

Take this newly outfitted Python for example - https://s.orbis.zone/eb3u

As mentioned in the previous log, I had raced out to Robigo Mines to start transporting passengers.
However, I had not really thought the whole process through!

Having arrived at Robigo in my Asp and my Python build design needing specific components, the nearest outfitters to have all in stock was about 300ly distant.
Even so, my exploration Asp only took 6 jumps to get there.

Once in dry dock I carefully removed the modules I would need for the build, purchased and outfitted the Python with cabins, and then swapped out the modules from the Asp - I did not have enough materials or time to engineer new components anyway!

Next I plotted the route to Robigo, and launched into the black.

After about three jumps I realised that I'd made a basic mistake.... no fuel scoop !
I did look at using the economy route, but 44 jumps for 273ly ! No thanks

What to do?
Thankfully EDDB was available via the subspace network, and showed a £A fuel scoop in stock at Bentham station.
Course set, I flew swiftly and arrived without incident.

Swapped out a 3E passenger cabin in the hangar, grabbed a quick coffee and croissants to go from the lounge, and good to go.

At last, I can reach Robigo in the Python.
Heading out now, see you again soon ... I hope
Do you like it?
