The void was calling again, its siren song too loud to ignore. I powered up the engines and set out for a short trip—at least, that’s how it began. The destination was uncertain, but the Oochoss OW-W d1-0 system caught my eye, far from the well-traveled routes. I plotted my course and launched into the black.

Star after star, I jumped through the vastness of space, feeling the familiar hum of the FSD charging up as each celestial body came into view. The light of distant stars flared on my canopy, illuminating the cold, dark space around me, as I skimmed the surface of each star for fuel. The fuel scoop engaged like clockwork, drawing in precious hydrogen from the star’s corona, refueling my ship with each stop—an almost meditative routine amidst the chaos of the stars.

With every jump, the galaxies stretched and shifted, the faint glow of distant systems calling to me like ancient lighthouses guiding me through the abyss. I pushed further, always just one more jump, chasing the thrill of the unknown. My sensors pinged, and I veered off course to explore a planet with unusual signals.

In the remote Oochoss OW-W d1-0 system, I stumbled across something remarkable—unfamiliar exobiological life forms. Samples collected, I cataloged each discovery, knowing the potential value they held. The planets were barren, but life always finds a way. The stars, the silence, the discovery—everything was a reminder of why I keep coming back to the void.

Finally, after hours of drifting through the endless dark, I set course for home. My journey may have been brief, but it left me with more questions than answers, as space often does. The edge may have been dulled for now, but the void always waits, whispering for my return.
