Log 2: First Journey

The fighting in Ackwada seems to finally be dying down; I'm not certain, but I don't think the results for the Marlinists are looking good. There's a voice in the back of my mind that keeps bothering me with questions that I don't have the answers to. The worst one is "What is going to happen to them?", because some part of me knows that the Empire won't hesitate to just destroy the mega-ships, even though they are full of people. To escape all of this, I decided to travel out to Deciat, to become acquainted with Felicity Farseer, owner of Farseer, Inc., and an engineer famous the galaxy over for her work on frame shift drives; I made the pilgrimage to Maia to retrieve a meta-alloy, and returned without any incident. After formally becoming acquainted, I asked to have the power plant on my Vulture upgraded; it's performing admirably, but it can't quite keep up with the demanding plasma accelerators I've fitted it with.
While she got to work on that, I finally took the Razorcrest out into the black, and I was absolutely delighted and enamored the whole time. I ended up traveling just over 800 lightyears, just trying to get close to some small nebula out past the Coal Sack. This short stint was just a small taste of the freedom of exploration; I'm already in love. My ship makes for a sturdy and agile vessel, and a very comfortable home.
My next journey will be much farther; I'll pick a direction, and just go, and I won't settle for anything less than 2,000ly from home.
