A Boring Day

24 Feb 2021Starnemesis
The quest for rare goods continues. The first stop today was back to The Tavern (59 Virginis), followed by Cregglezone (Wolf 397) to sell all of my rare goods in the hold. I also stopped by Todd McQuinn while in the system.

Nguna, Harma and Kachigin were next on my list of stops. I picked up Nguna Modern Antiques and water purifiers from Biggle Hub (Nguna). Sold the purifiers in Gabriel Enterprises (Harma), only covering the cost of the trip, and picked up Harma Silver Sea Rum and battle weapons. I arrived at Nowak Orbital (Kachirigin) to offload the battle weapons making a small profit that I used to pick up some natural fabrics. Unfortunately, I found out that Kachirigin Filter Leeches are no longer available.

With that disappointing result, I headed back to the Tavern to sell the rum, antiques and fabric. I picked up liquor and wine and made my way to Gohar Station (Jaradharre) to pick up some Jaradharre Puzzle Boxes and tritium, making a small profit on the alcohol. Guest Installation (Uszaa) was in need of tritium and I made almost 2 million credits, but I also picked up Uszaian Tree Grubs and marine equipment. The nearby Sharon Lee Free Market (Orrere) bought the marine equipment and I bought Orrerian Vicious Brew and tea. Only to sell the tea at Lonchakov Orbital (Korro Kung) and picking up power generators and Koro Kung Pellets. The generators were sold at Noli Terminal (Mokojing) which was hardly worth the effort, but I did get some Mokojing Beast Feast and more marine equipment. That was sold at Toll Ring (Neritus) and I got some Neritus Berries, just the berries here. Shipton Orbital (Arouca) was the next stop for some Arouca Conventual Sweets amnd the last stop on this run was Libby Orbital (Any Na) for some Any Na Coffee and a little tea to fill my hold. The profit on the tea sold back at The Tavern was enough to cover the fuel cost for the return trip, but I only sold 1 each of the rare goods at The Tavern.

I sold the rest at Trading Post (Delta Phoenicis) and Shajn Terminal (Eshu) to make a tidy profit, and picked up Delta Phoenicis Palms and Eshu Umbrellas. I continued on to Tarter Dock (Wuthielo Ku) getting Wutheilo Ku Froth as well as some Imperial slaves, a bit on the nose but who am I to judge? I did sell them in Flagg Gateway and made a loss, serves me right I guess. I did buy up the Rapa Bao Snake Skins and tobacco. The tobacco I sold at Kreutz Orbital (Holva) and got some crop havesters and Holva Dueling Blades. The crop harvesters were sold at Crown Ring (Quechua) where I bought Albino Quechua Mammoth Meat and more Imperial slaves. This time I sold the slaves at a small profit in Boscovich (Belalans) and made enough of a profit to buy Belalans Ray Leather along with some coffee. The Tavern was the last stop on this leg where I sold everything in my hold.

Buy this stage the Federal Navy Reserve had a job for me, delivering Fish to Wolf 497. Easy job, pick up at The Tavern and drop off at Smeaton Vision. I quickly did that job and got my promotion to Warrant Officer in the Federal Navy Reserve. While I was in Imperial space I had been donating money to Imperial causes. Apparently, this got me noticed and I decided to head to Tanmark, firstly to pick up Lucan Onionhead and Tanmark Tanquil Tea from Cassie-L-Peia. The Empire wanted me to source some marine equipment and return them to Tanmark. I found some available at Port Bueschel in the nearby Dakvar system. I jumped there and filled my hold with marine equipment before returning to Tanmark. I handed over the first lot to the empire and sold the rest making a nice profit. In return the Imperial Navy Auxiliary gave me the rank of Outsider. Two promotions in one day, sweet.

All said and done, apart from a few fines and a couple of piracy attempts that the Space Duck easily evaded it was a boring day. Just taking cargo from one point to the next. Even the money wasn't that great, 15 rare goods, and I only ended up 10mil up on where I was at the beginning of the day. Only the promotions were of any real interest. Almost half down though. It is a long way to get to Elite by rare goods.
