"I'm restless, I can't help it."

::CMDR Vizz Curio on the Jupiter Jazz, docked at starport Synder Enterprise, TZ Arietis::::personal log::
The Jupiter Jazz was fully repaired and I decided to wander the stars for a bit when I realized how close I was already to Sol, so I jumped in the system of the origin of humanity to see what I could see. I hear those Earthers are weird ones, really stick to some archaic rituals or something! I'm afraid they'd look at me with my replacement synthflesh, cybernetic eyes, and conductive "tattoos" and think something was wrong with me. Nope: I'm a 34th century man-about-the-galaxy.
First stop, I came to Mercury and dropped in. Had some fun zipping around scouting a giant crater to a large mound in the middle in my SLF. Then landed my ship and drove around in the moon buggy looking for precious rare minerals. No dice. Got into an altercation near a crashed probe and had to split.
Left and headed for Europa and on approach got a notification about the "famous" ice geysers of Europa, so I set my course. As I approached I could see them, geysers blasting up 200m or more into the sky.
I launched my SLF and told Lennox to stay put at a safe distance while I hot-dogged and flew all around and between the geysers. A couple of times I afterburned at top speed through 'em, so much fun. Then I got brave and approached the base of a geyser slowly, and crossed the threshold. My SLF got thrust upward 120m and tossed from the jets. This was a good trip.
The famous ice geysers of Europa, with Jupiter in the sky:
I headed back to my home base, Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra, to swap out my 2 Medium-sized Seeker Missile racks for gimballed Pulse Lasers, and add 2 Small-size Burst Lasers. Figured if I want to train Lennox up to fly my ship while I prefer to fly the SLF, I should switch to weapons that don't require ammo that she can waste...
Before those purchases I was checking my stored modules and weapons and came across a Large-sized Pulse Laser I had previously had upgraded for some special results and noticed the trademark symbol of someone I haven't spoken to in a long time: The Dweller.
He's... not my favorite person in the galaxy, but his services are good and he likes me.
I decided it was time to pay him a visit, and see what we could do to these new laser blasters I just equipped.
A couple of quick jumps later I was on approach to Black Hide. That city is a pain in the tail to land in because it's always pitch black and they still haven't installed any flood lights. "Black Hide" indeed, good grief.
The Dweller was happy to see me, which was nice.
Spent the rest of my day upgrading my guns with him and messing around with my power distributor. We really got in deep with it and did some heavy tweaking to my power distributor and for a while it was out of whack and acting janky. Fortunately in the end everything came out stable:
As I bid him farewell, I made the usual empty promises to come back soon and whatever sounds good.
My friend had gone to Maia today ahead of me and is scouting for Thargoid evidence, and I plan to head that way tomorrow, so I made a couple of jumps back to TZ Arietis to dock at a familiar station that's on the way.
Jupiter Jazz is getting 31-33ly jump ranges now, but Maia is still many jumps away. I need my sleep first.
