I can sense it on every deck, in every cabin and in every nook and cranny on the Watchtower. It's as if the entire carrier is statically charged and waiting to arc. Twelve hours ago we received our first burst transmissions detailing the invasion. The ship is on high alert as we continue our mad dash to the "Bubble" in hopes of aiding those in need. After we drop from Witch-space I'll go over our ROE with the crew.

She finally gave out on me. Frameshift drive is down and my engineers can't give me a solid ETIC. The drive itself is fine I'm told, but the field stabilization control is the issue. I asked the hard questions: Can we continue? What are the odds of a catastrophic failure if we DO continue? The answers? Yes, and "fairly good." Do I risk my ship and my people? Sometimes our greatest enemy in war isn't our enemy, but our equipment. I'd quote that, but I'm sure some stuffy general at some point said that while sipping bourbon at his desk.
