Questionable Ethics: Visiting BEDI INN

Dropped by Fullerene C60 and decided to visit the Bedi Inn for the night. Something about a station named "Rebuy Prospect" didn't sit right with me, especially being out beyond the reaches of the law. But who am I kidding right? The law is whatever a CMDR decides it is, regardless of society as a whole agreeing upon it being "right" or "wrong". Just because murdering someone without a bounty will land you either in jail or dead, and is seen as wrong... Won't save your ass if you're caught out there and someone takes an interest in what you're hauling. Found out that some fool had uploaded their opinion poll to my room data port. Naturally, curiosity got the better of me so I decided to look around. Turns out this place has 6 Data terminals that are easily accessed with one in the bar. The BAR of all places. Just leave it right there for every drunkard in a 500ly radius to upload their damn cat media and other trash to. What logic! Naturally this turned out to be a rather lucrative stop as folks also left a metric ton of personal assets and such that you need for your suit and weapons upgrading. Five-finger discount all night long.
Granted, I generally don't care to steal from people. But when you leave it laying around? Well, I guess I'm a woman willing to play that game of chance. Chance being that you get caught and have to deal with the local security personnel and anyone else you pissed off. Ran into a rambling drunk employee of the place that worked at the power station. He let slip that only 3 guards patrol the area with a single technician to monitor the reactor. Also made the mistake of mentioning that the entire suite of defenses and alarms are all in that one building. As if that made it more secure or something.
To me that's just tempting fate, in a very bad way. Because there is literally nothing to keep someone from landing right next to the power station, hacking the door, killing the tech in there and disable the alarms before anyone else gets word there's been trouble. And if one did get into a firefight there, it's not like you'd have a bounty on your head, because nobody bothers to report that stuff in anarchy space.
So I guess this comes down to a question of ethics. If someone had something that you needed... what lengths would you go through to get it?
