Mining in rings other than Icy

I've decided to make a move to some different mining due to the commodity market price crash, not sure what happened but it's affected my income, didn't bother to crack a painite asteroid yesterday, it wasn't worth the risk of trying to ship it 100s of light years just to get anywhere near what i was getting for it last week, and same with VO's and LTDs. Hope that doesn't become a permanent thing....The other odd minerals seem to be in more demand now and getting some good prices, but I'm having a hell of a job finding the cores, (and my PWA is on the blink yet again). Seems much harder to spot them compared to asteroids in icy rings which stand out like a radioactive banana.
I wasted almost a third of my prospector limpets yesterday on bright metal rich asteroids that turned out not to be cores, which was really galling, never normally an issue with icy ones, (once I've kicked the PWA again).
Might have to invest in another cargo hold to hold the additional limpets, not sure how I will get the wife to agree to that.
