Not quite back to combat school but ....

So the bounty hunting has been going well, hazardous sites near mining hotspots seem to be attract pirates like wasps to a picnic. Also had some luck with compromised nav beacons, which have been really profitable, now that the authorities have finally started to make it worthwhile putting my butt on the line just to make an honest living.Picked up a few upgrades for the "Barney McGrew" on the way round the bubble as well, and thought I was doing ok until I got involved in some local skirmishes around N Puppis. Again fine at first doing "cleaner" jobs for the authorities taking out pirates.
Right up until I got cocky and didn't read the contract details for two missions that I took on at the same time.
"Suitable for completion as part of a wing".
Those words were rattling round in my head at the same time as my ship was rattling round my head as an FDL and an Anaconda took it apart very quickly.
Tail between my legs didn't cover it and I was lucky to high wake out of there with my skin still intact, although I can't say the same for my shields and the hull wasn't much better.
So another round of engineer runs and typically I'm almost out of materials so some prospecting looks like it for the short term. The change of pace will be good though.
And the Plasma Accelerator I'm going to fit is going to be a lot of fun.
But that will mean back to combat school for me as well, as fixed weapons are a little tough to master, and I'm going to make sure I can fly the damn thing with the FA off and use those thrusters properly, just jousting is not good for my health or the Barney's.
I've moved the fleet (ok, three ships at the moment, but doesn't that make me a Commodore?) to a local system with some good pristine rings, some choice prospectable planets and some engineers not too far away, so this will be home for a while.
