Jaques Homebase Day 5
16 Aug 2016MissingSea
Today was a reasonably quiet day for me, as a Commander we still have to keep ourselves trained in other disciplines, so I spent the day parked up on that same high g world and did some studying. I know, not the most exciting thing in the world, but if I want to improve my trade rank with the Pilots Federation it's a necessary evil. The view more than made up for it.
Ok so I didn't spend my whole time sat studying, I did take the SRV out for a run. With what was left of the day I managed to catalogue the rest of the system, and then bounced around the locale with an aim to improve our understanding of the galactic neighbourhood around Jaques.
I ended up in a uncharted system with a good deal of gas giants, with the last planet in the system being a ringed ice world. It was getting late by this point, so I put the Jasmine into a geosync orbit just above the ice rings. I left the shields online though, don't fancy waking up to find an asteroid getting up close and personal. One thing the recon drone has made me realise I need to get my paintwork redone, it's looking a little dirty :/
