I’ve got everything I need. I’ll be crossing the Mare Desperationis using the pass mapped by Jim B. We’ve been calling the pass the Jodrell Bridge and it will take my ship over 40 frame shift boosts to get through the gap. I was afraid I would be stuck prospecting for weeks. In the end, it only took a few days to get everything!
Feeling some gravity was a nice change and the scenery was stunning. These rovers are so fun to bounce around in. I have to be careful now, I've already destroyed one car. I’ve also been thinking that I should rename this rover the David Thompson. Thompson was an ancient Earth explorer. Known by some as the Stargazer, he spent years driving trails through uncharted lands. It feels like a fitting tribute.
I enjoyed this break from microgravity, but I’m excited to move on! I've got just over 20,000 light years to travel and then I can get started with survey work.
Log Supplement:
I have no idea how my hull dropped 2% since the last log entry. I think there is a bug in the sensor readout. I’ll have to run a diagnostic and read through the logs.
