'Sup.
The Society of Kelie started their war with the Kelie Resistance yesterday - sooner than expected. My contacts let me know and Aylin and I got to work. Apparently the reason the Society started fighting earlier is because the Federal Navy task force requested by the Kelie Resistance had a Farragut class Battlecruiser enroute. I din't believe it at first, but then it dropped into one of the conflict zones I was at. I've seen it about 4 times now and routed it during 3 of those - I bet they weren't expecting that. But still, the Federal Navy put up a much tougher fight than KSM's System Defence Force's and Mercs, I've had to return to base a few times now. Hasn't stopped me from racking up about 200 kills (and 3 Battlecruiser routs) in 2 days though. This is certainly going to be a tough fight, but I reckon the Society could still win. The Federal Navy may be better trained and equipped than the forces the Society has on hand, but they aren't exactly in friendly territory, so I reckon their supply lines have been pretty stretched and the Pirate crews in the area are certainly going to take advantage of that.
I'm making more per day than I do doing bounties or assassin work doing these contracts for the Society, so it's good work. Technically legal too. Still, assassin/spec ops work is fun, so I reckon I'll still be doing plenty of that - lord the factions in the area want a lot done. I do still need to outfit the Charon and Artemis, as well as get some guardian blueprints though. So maybe I'll take a break from all this 'Hired Gun' stuff for a while and go collect materials and blueprints. I'll think about it more later...
For now though I'm going to have a lovely fancy dinner with Aylin, because some fine wine from Kamadhenu just arrived here on Savery Ring and Aylin and I don't want to miss out on it, so we're heading to an expensive Imperial restaurant on station. I mean, it's not expensive for us, but it is a pretty fancy place.
