Location: Jellyfish Sector FB-X c1-5I reached Beta Site today. This is by far the longest distance I’ve ever been away from populated space. After 3 days of jumping and scanning I really look forward to talking to the local cartograph at Beta Site to find out what my scans are worth. I know for a fact that I at least had a few first discoveries.
Beta Site is amazing! It seems almost undoable to dig a hole this big into an asteroid. I can only begin to imagine the effort of bringing all the equipment and ressources required this far out. At the moment 1500 people are living inside the asteroid and in the system where it resides. Even though everything looks clean and tidy I see crime everywhere. Local scans in Jellyfish Sector FB-X c1-5 showed pirate activity all the way up to threat level 8. When I leave I'd better have a route ready and keep my hand on the throttle at all times.
Headed for a drink and some sleep now. I think I deserve that before starting the 5k ly trip back.
