What - Singularity - Clipper emergency rescue Star shipWhere - Dawes Hub in the Achenar system
A clipper build became the focus of my attention as I was building/engineering the the new Cutter Sovereign Star. An Urgent call came in "a tragic event occurred during the Galactic Summit"! Instead of a time for peace /reflection it became a time for deployment and conflict again. I stopped my work on the Cutter for a quick build for a new clipper ship. The mission was simple as a request for pilots needed to transport citizens from the damaged Dawes Hub in the near by Achenar System. With Spare components My 1st officer and I refitted a Clipper to offer aid to Dawes Hub. As a trained psychologist I am not a natural at engineering. So with my new collogues Felicity Farceerer and 1st off Karissa Garza our maiden voyage of the Singularity together. Felicity of coarse said "hmmm thanks Ill stay back"
My engineering only goes so far
On the way a bit nervous to take part in this mission but arrived to Daws Hub. witnessing the fire and damage to the min orbital unit we proceeded to request docking at our own risk. Great balls of fire! times like this I wonder why do they make such narrow mail slots for ship entry? Instant heat as I am glad that we were packing a few packs of heat sinks. . managed to dock quickly and rescued individuals most of were children. We were able to get in and out quickly and warped out to the medical ship that was close by. We decided "we need to go back there are more" I responded "Yes lets do this" as the Ship returned.. thinking to my self I should have brought the Python! Karissa said "yes I thought it would fit more easily through the mail slot" The cost to send a ship half way over the bubble is way to expensive... anyway... we got in the station and the ship got caught on a large piece of debris and held us up. The strange thing is that the ship got fined and we could not rescue any more citizens. What? The officers are giving tickets instead of helping the citizens? Was I loitering? really? We were unable to help and had to go back to pay the fine and then decided to return to help the families we were able to save. Provided some best practices in trauma, grief and loss and this is were we are at this time.
peace - let this experience bring factions together and keep the spirit of peace... together.
