Brief Recap: Silas Flemmon

I guess I never consolidated all the things my father’s done since I ran away. Apparently he waited on the pad for me to return with my brand new Sidewinder, and when he found out I had docked at a station he deliberately never let me see, he knew he’d lost me for good. And how did he react? He crumpled. I’ve seen the footage. A security officer walked up to him to see if he was okay, and… he shot and killed the guard with her own gun. By the time anyone realized what had happened, he was in cover, and he went on what I can only describe as a tactical rampage, managing to kill over 45 people before he was hit in the forearm by a laser blast, and he surrendered and was taken into custody. When the Alliance supreme courts realized Silas was a Commander, they reached out to the Pilots Federation, but the Pilots Federation declined to make any ruling, saying that this was an Alliance internal matter. The courts, by popular demand of victims’ families, reached out to Archon Delaine, and having been promised that Silas “would be given a life of nothing but torture, and continually denied the solace of an early death,” they gave custody of Silas to the Kumo Crew. The decision received unanimous approval from all those affected, except for me- I was a bit too preoccupied with my existential crisis to even acknowledge what happened, let alone share my opinion.
The Alliance is very democratic, and has surprisingly little corruption for a government so large. Far from perfect, of course, but they do a decent job of listening and responding to popular needs. In this case, the judges consulted various mental health professionals, who advised that handing Silas over to Delaine for a life of torture would be beneficial for those in mourning.
Silas was tortured for about two years in a high-security prison owned by the Kumo Crew, until he was broken out by an unidentified team of highly skilled operatives. His whereabouts were unknown for quite some time, until Hudson’s commandos tried to capture Yuri Grom. Silas was one of those commandos. He was never one to question orders, unless the order would prevent him from killing in some way. He was the perfect commando for that team, I’d say.
Silas then went renegade, stealing a ship, and is currently considered to be “at large,” performing illegal mercenary work, and from what I’ve heard, anarchy factions have actually made jobs more heinous and immoral just so that Silas would take their jobs. I’m glad he doesn’t know about my new public identity, and that he’s given up on finding his “son.” He probably thinks I’m dead, honestly. Joke's on him, I am very much alive. He also can't see my logs, I set that up before I even started writing them, and the Pilots Federation thankfully has helped to thoroughly conceal, and in many cases expunge, my ties to him.
