Just when you thought you were decent...

After spending my fair shair of time within low density combat zones, I thought it was time for a change. A step up, in fact. The system I was in gave host to many combat zones, so I decided it was time to go to a high density one. Upon arriving, with my other wing member, I quickly checked which faction I was friendly with, and announced my allegance. I quickly selected my highest threat, an ASP Explorer, and set of to earn some credits.

The ASP was Dangerous, "No match for a competant vulture," I seemed to think, and I was right. My plasma accelerater stripped it's sheilds in a single (very) well placed shot. I was easily out-manuvouring it, and all was going well. This continued for about a millisecond, untill I realised I was taking hits, and they sertainly weren't coming from Mr ASP, so I looked down only to discover three ships had turned their weaspons on me. I began skillfully manuvouring, weaving and erraticaly spinning and diving, trying in vain to shake these damnable vessels. This did not work. My vulture is a good ship, whose sheilds rarely get broken, so I only had light weight alloys, and I was being destroyed! My friend was in a mediocre-ly kitted out Cobra mkIII, and he was already charging his fsd. His hull was disapearing faster than Mr ASP's 2/second H.E dumbfire. He, however, basically gave up immediately. I however, had got stuck in. Struck in a steaming shit that is. He got away with 12% hull. At this point, I would have loved to be able to even move, but my pursuers had made my thrusters malfunction, leaving me spinning aimlessly, spraying multicannon fire into the void.

Before the inevitable end came, I managed to catch a glimpse of one of my enemies. A type 6. A TYPE 6. My god. Anyway, there's a morale to this.
"Even if you have spent extortinate amounts of time in low density comabat zones, you are not ready to go to the high intensity ones. And you probably never will be"
