I do not like docking computers.

This is probably something you've heard countless times, but hey, why not hear it again? The first reason I.D.N.L.D.C is because they erradicate the feeling of acomplishment. You've flown thousands of light-years, out to god-knows-where, and there's nothing more satisfying then slaming your ship down, losing half your hull, because you've become a heavy-handed explorer. (I also like docking).
Another reason is it's a waste of space. You could put a fuel scoop there, some cargo or fuel space, an AFM anything! But instead you've wasted it on a couple of seconds of automated flying and some mozart.
However, there is a reason why I love them. Here's why; you're coming into land, after flying through the airlock flawlessly. You skillfully aproach the pad and set down you landing gear accidently press boost 'cause your tired and slam into the far end of the station, and get wedged there. Then you rage for a second, then sheepishly reverse out, imagining all those NPCs laughing at you.
It's really a love-hate relationship for me docking computers. And there is a morale;
"I should probably consider remapping my landing gear..."
