Mines a grind

Running in circles is something the Asp Explorer excels at, this is what I've been doing. Mainly Empire side. Mines work well on the Asp E. and the latest pirates have no chance, whatever their skill. I leave a trace of proxies and the offender's shield and hull collapse. The imperial contacts are always pleased to see me return. With each landing they offer better, higher paid missions. Ha, the last vist after walking into ###'s office he tells me I'm knighted. Just like that. Get me if you think I'm wrong but aren't the Empire lot all for decorous, tradition and flamboyance? He gives me the worksheet, looks me in the eye and says "Fly safe Knight", like I come to pick up the post. Very few of these missions are combat. I'm good with that. And like many other knights in the Empire, I have treated myself to a courier. Painted up in bright sunset yellow she's a stunning bit of machinery. Pulse laser on a right hand turret with a multi cannon slung under the nose. Adding the burst laser on the left wing, few ships are as cabable. With SRV bay, it can explorer the inner world bound in Imperial style.
And this is not all. I bought another Python. Yeh yeh, my first Python got taken out by an elite pirate and the second was a master, both in a Vulture. But I'm over it. I am. This new python is defensive, with pulse turrets on the left wing. Upgrades see to the structural strength needed and a multi cannon under the the hull (the bomb bay) takes care should a nimble ship like an eagle tangle with this agile beast of a gun boat.
And now for the big part of what I have been doing; I'll not go into too much detail here: Wings. Everyone is doing it. At the CG near Merope and the CZ's, groups of three and fours move around like gangsters from earth 1920's. Ha, "you looking at me, Punk?" This location near Merope has some big hitters. I'm talking corvettes and clippers. And the station at Pre Lab is over run over run, absolutely chock with cmdrs. To get in and cash my bounty I had to deorbit 40km out and fly the moon surface to dock at the laboratory.
So, the current trend in galaxy is wing up. Because it doesn't matter what ship you fly, how big, how powerful, you will always meet a ship that can be a danger to yours. Bringing in a wing, one that differs from your own is a new trend. The new 'in' thing. These changes bring to question, 'who organises these groups'? Expect some intense confrontation in the coming weeks.
