Right then, I suppose I ought to start keeping a log just in case something happens to me. Which, given that I'm currently experiencing frequent crashes of the Pilot's Federation software that keeps my ship running, might not be that unlikely.
The plan as of right now is to head toward the top of the galaxy as far as I can get before setting course for Colonia. I started out from the Brestla system and plotted a course straight up. As of right now I am somewhere in the Wregoe TN-M C22-1 system.
I'm not exactly sure when this all started but I've been having issues with the Audacious' firmware. At first it was simple NavMap software crashes when attempting to plot long jumps. Then it escalated to frame-shift drive malfunctions while leaving atmo. I've been trying to keep track of the error codes, something about 'Orange Sidewinder' and 'Purple Python'. Haven't been able to get ahold of anyone from the Pilot's Federation help desk to see what is up.
At any rate, I can't wait for these issues to be fixed. I've been told of a rare opportunity out in Colonia and it's not going to wait around until my ship is debugged. It's a huge risk that I'll end up with a crippled Anaconda out in the middle of nowhere but so far all I've managed to do is bleed credits while chasing leads here in the bubble. Frankly I'm quite tired of the conflicts and power struggles. Colonia seems like a good place to leave all that behind and start over. Not to mention there are rumors of some very talented individuals that have made their home in that region.
And to be honest, it's not going to hurt the Canonn Research Group for me to give them more data from the region. If I'm lucky, I could even end up with my name on a couple systems. Of course, that could happen anyway if one of these systems ends up being my grave...
Probably best not to dwell on that. They say that bad luck ha--
