San José the Anaconda is down

06 Jun 2016Torrente
The downside of flying in a beautiful Anaconda doing missions and, truth be told, without shields, althought it would have mattered pretty much jack, as it was another Conda, fully armed on my ass, preventing me to provide Wilson Orbital with nice food.

Fortunately, the economy of Torrente Enterprises is doing well, and a rebuy wasn't such a big deal. The company still gets red numbers this week, but at least I'm in a good position to make a recovery. This weekend I've also given a shot to Mining, thus spending quite a bit of bucks in gear for the T6, the Fatboy. I reckon it's pretty relaxing, but I reckon I can't make a contribution in missions unless I take a T9 or something. But it's good to learn the ropes of the trade.

Also, I visited my home in Kamocan, did a couple of jobs to work on the Auxiliary Navy rank, which is low on Count, but hey... eyes on the prize. I ended up investing a little bit on Zemina Torval's mischiefs -I reckon I should have picked a better week for spending even more money- but at least my status within her organization should look better, and if I decide to do a trade run, I'm gonna make a little more money if I get to do it on her influence area. All to make more money in the long run.

Oh, and before I got to Synteini, I paid a visit to one of them Engineers.  The Dweller has a bad habit: he deals with the Alliance, but I reckon the guy doesn't look too hard on to who can do business with him. Got 500k creds? He's your man.  It was only natural a good smuggler was invited to his premises. I got nothing good on his visit for the moment, but as I said. Long run. Sooner or later I'll get some use for what him or señorita Felicity Farseer's got to offer.

In any case, it was fun to hang in Synteini. I didn't get to meet the Senator, of course, but I got told a little more on how she runs her business. It's a tight ship. Experts say she's the third power in the galaxy, which I reckon is better that the Emperor herself is doing. That's some major capital, right there.  I enjoyed dinner with her toadies, and learned enough to make judgment. For the time being, there's profit to be made on her business, but I got to get smart and not turn in red numbers all the time.

Hopefully, the San José II is gonna last longer than her predecessor, which was a good streak. Here's hopin'.

CMDR. José Luis Torrente has released this week's economic results for Torrente Enterprises PLC. The Tycoon-ranked Commander has confirmed the trading flagship San José was lost this saturday in Paras, after a pirate intercepted it. He announced the ship's insurance was paid after 7 million credits were paid and, ultimately, Achenar Immortal forces located and destroyed the intercepting pirate.

Torrente, that reported a weekly loss of 5 million credits, also reported an investment in his assets, as the Lakon Spaceways T6 ship "Fatboy V" was refit for mining, and earned the company half-a-million in mining missions for the Paras' leading faction. Further investments were partially disclosed, notably in the Corporate conglomerate of Senator Zemina Torval.

The Count of Miller Gateway expects to make "a full recovery and beyond", this week, so the investors "have nothing to worry about".
