I'm back to do what I do best, and it's definitely paying off already. Torrente Enterprises, for some reason, had a hole of 10 million creds in the balance that I've easily filled up with a bit of trade. I'm enjoying the benefits of a partner for Torval in that. The problem was the most profitable routes were taking me to Federal systems, precisely systems were Imperial Slaves weren't exactly legal, y'know... Damn Shadow President yokels.One time around I got lucky and didn't get scanned, but the second one I still didn't realize what I was getting into... the tag "HOSTILE" above the heat meter covering the "illegal cargo" did not help... And I ended up with an over 2 million fine for a 720 ton-worth cargo. I wasn't pleased alright.
I moved my business elsewhere, but sadly that route's short lived. Switching to a Cutter is been good for business but I definitely miss the jump rate on the San Jose. Instead of selling it, I have a good mind to leave it docked on Paras, and when I get enough credits, I'll just fit it for war and bounty hunting. I reckon it's a ship I love to fly and as a cargo freighter she's worked wonderfully.
Staying 70% Tycoon now and if things go right, between 2-3 weeks I could be looking to achieve my first Elite. Not too bad, not too bad.
I also see good old Admiral Patreus is calling for materials to build three (3!) new Majestic Class ships. Well, that certainly won't come cheap. I'll probably lend a hand. The pay seems good and it's been a while since I last hauled something in a massive call. I expect pirates, of course, but that's part of the business. If I turn a decent profit it will be worth it. Always get the rebuy ready tho, guys.
