November 2nd 3302 - Project Glorious Entry #2

Almost 7 thousand light years in but a few days. That's something to think about, ain't it? It's not the Marshal pressuring me, but I guess my trader's instinct kicked in. I wanted to get to the Glorious Nebula ASAP and it's paying off.In my travels, lots of M-class stars, so I'm learning to be extra careful. No further incident since I last loss a bit of hull, still holding at 98%. Can't repair the power plant, so I won't be taking any chances, really.
As for exploration data, I'm running more and more jumps. The route to the Nebula is trickier and trickier and that means a lot more jumps to basically cover the 1,000 light years to the next milestone. Right now I'm headed to the 8th. The final approach to the 1-system nebula will be from a star we've called the "Omega star". But for the return I'm thinking of just heading down on the Y axis and get more stars to jump on. As I'm going I think It'll cost me a couple of days just to reach the Omega star, and from there an extra jump.
Doesn't seem much but we're talking 40 jumps to cover a thousands light years. And I fear it's only getting worse after the next milestone. Yes, I'm discovering quite a bit of stars I think no one else has been to. But most of the systems, I can't stop by. Hardly found any water worlds or earth likes. Of course, I know they're rare, but that's going to be the only reason to delay the next jump, having so many to make until destination.
On the way back, without the pressure of time, I'll just take my time, and check the systems more carefully.
I'm also on the comms with other Commander. Apparently the Pilots Federation has implemented a suit in our ships' software that will allow us to explore as a team. Likely scanning different bodies in a system. I reckon I'm eager to try, but that will have to wait until my mission is delivered, which could be a month from now.
