Tragedy on board.Over 7k light years into the trip we realized there is a way to the Glorious Nebula but it involves "premium jumponium" for over 600 light years of travel. A ressource that sadly, I do not possess.
The Marshal's team was furious and violence ensued. The ship was damaged, not beyond repair, but my hull is now at 75%. My co pilot is wounded but she'll live.
We've confined the Marshal and all his crew to their quarters, minimal supply of food and just the life support. Time to head back home. I'll do so in my own time, tho. I intend to capitalize on this disaster. I might not get 20 millions from his account but I'm going to make every jump count.
To go back through the last 5 milestones is a waste of time, as I'd do 40 jumps for 1.000 light years. That would have made a good warning sign if I read it.
My trip back will take me home, and then LTT 874 where our "guests" will be delivered to a penal colony. I should toss them out of the airlock but Guraqaki will stand trial instead.
