The HIP 110147 colony was surprised earlier today when 200 tons of explosives were detonated in the vicinity of the indepedent planetary settlement. A reckless commander, by the name of Jose Luis Torrente was transporting Military-grade fabrics to a penal colony in a neighboring system and brought back a considerable tonnage of landmines, for some reason. "I swear some idiot must have snuck them in", the corpulent commander justified himself. Witnesses from Security could hear comm chatter around the colony prior to the detonation. "DUMP IT ALL! DUMP IT ALL!". The explosive result was a 200-t detonation that could probably be seen from orbit. Some colonists were confused at the sudden light "It wasn't right but we don't have nukes in our colony", an unnamed witness said to this reporter. The commander has been fined 30.000 credits as no one was injured from his reckless operation.
