That was a blast!
After the long hours exploring, researching, and staying up way too late. this was a well deserved break for me and the crew. The SRV Derby hosted by the Alchemist was today! We all gathered and organized ourselves, spent some time taking in the sights and hanging out, before the chaos began.
The rules were simple. Group around in a circle, full throttle forward, and then weapons free.
It didn't take long for the first causality. Explosions, flips, blaster shots, blinking shields, the dust and smell of burnt SRV in the air. It was a mighty good time that both the crew and myself needed. I made it to fourth before being eradicated by Arb, our leader.
Following the demolition derby, we re-armed at the Hyperlight for a game of cat and mouse. More good fun here, however we simply watched the events over the Galnet and chatted with the team.
These guys are helping keep the space madness at bay. After some good laughs, we docked back at the Hyperlight to settle in for the night and have a round or two with everyone at the bar in celebration of all our discoveries thus far. Out the side window, I can see a practice dogfight going on for the upcoming Fight Night.
Great way to end the night.
