I awoke this morning to a notification on the computer. A message from a fellow Alchemist over the galnet. Commander Helios Eusebio more specifically. They mentioned that we may have some luck finding materials with a little bit of asteroid mining! What a genius! they're the one who inspired me to start these logs in the first place, and they are reading my entries! Excitement and nerves filled me this morning when I realized somewhere out there was actually reading these mindless rambles to keep my sanity. If you're reading now, thanks for the tip!
Time to plot a course out of here and back to the Lunar Hyperlight. Our mining Python needs a christening on this expedition...
Before we reached our target system with the Hyperlight, we stumbled upon a few Lagrange clouds we deemed worthy of our time. These things will never fail to make my jaw drop with their beautiful colours, and stunning, natural shapes. We stopped in at two separate clouds and made a few new geological and biological discoveries upon scanning them. Ice crystals and metallic crystals. Beautiful things created by dense clouds of collected microorganisms in space. Life always finds a way.
Good timing making it back to the carrier. Commander Luna Sidhara just released a statement to all Alchemists on our journey that they are now issuing a buy order for any and all tritium! Looks like I'll be adding another thing to the collection list when we get out to those asteroid belts. time to set off and see if I remember how to use these mining lasers..
Good news! turns out, I remembered how to use the old mining rig. Bad news though, once loaded, the ship is too heavy to make it to any of the nearby star systems, making our hunt for Tritium and materials null again for the time being. On the bright side, at least we know the ship still runs, albeit with a few bugs that the crew will have to squash.
Our next mass jump is tomorrow, which means more exploration, new worlds, and more good times with fellow Alchemists.
