Well, It's been decided. 1,224 Ly out from the carrier and we should probably start heading back now. Realistically, we could go another day of exploring and cram to make it back, but I've always preferred the safety of knowing for sure we'll be back in time.
The Hyperlight is jumping to it's next way point tomorrow, so the crew and I have decided to head back and dock to make sure we don't miss the jump. Plus, I'm also very excited to turn in all this data we've gathered. Once we do arrive, I'll take a look at the local stars and see if our mining Python can reach any other bodies out there. Give the Tritium mining another go. Or maybe, we could jump using neutrons, little more dangerous, but also a lot more fun.
Unless we discover anything truly fascinating, I doubt this will be a very exciting day, or entry in this log for that matter.

Of course we are taking longer than I'd like. How couldn't you! There are so many fascinating worlds we are discovering on our way back to the carrier!
We stopped for some metal-rich bodies in this system, and they supported planetary landings to our disbelief. After scanning, we took a closer look at the surface with our SRV and collected some photos and materials along the way. The beautiful bright orange surface was hard to stay away from. why couldn't we have taken this route out so we could spend more time out here. I don't want to skip any worlds, but I really don't want to get left behind...
A couple more water worlds, and we were off. We made the decision to honk in every system, but skip the scanning. Some credits are better than none after all.
We arrived at the carrier, the beautiful crazy spinning neutron in the distance. time to settle in for our next waypoint tomorrow and see what else lies in wait for us.
