Well. It's been a boring few days since our last entry into here. I'll catch you up on the exciting moments.

We left the previous system and headed off to Magellan's' Star, the furthest jump yet. It took us roughly 36 hours to get to our final location and boy was it something. I've never felt so alone. Surrounded by complete darkness in every direction, with the exception of the entirety of the Milky Way, and the intense luminosity of the star. It was a humbling experience to fly around that's for sure. Onboard the Hyperlight, crew are talking about how this star is the furthest system East of Sol. Quite an achievement for us and definitely a bragging point for when we return!

During our exploration around the system, we went off to investigate a few Lagrange Clouds. Interestingly, when we first arrived we noticed some blips on our radar. We went over to investigate and quickly discovered a very strange phenomenon I've never encountered before. Some electrical, pulsing, lifeforms? If you could call them that? We scanned them, but not much information was given from our codex. A close encounter with one showed the strength of their electrical prowess, quickly draining the shields on Moonshadow. We diverted power to our engines and got out of there fast.

After our exploration and close encounter, we returned to the Hyperlight so we didn't miss our only ticket out of the system. Upon arrival in our new home for the next few days, a mining competition was announced. 100 bits to whoever could find an overlapping Tritium hotspot for the competition to take place at, and rewards for the top 10 Tritium contributors over the next week! We took Moonshadow out for a burn around the nearby systems to try and discover some overlapping hotspots, however no luck thus far. We are planning a return trip to the carrier to swap out for Star Opal, our mining Python, and hopefully we will discover some overlaps on the way back.
