After trying my hand at Mining....

Ok I gave Mining a try but it was very frustrating looked a lot easier on the videos, I know they always do. So I managed to find and Icy ring and had my Aspo Suitably equipped for some serious Mining. I only had a 32 Cargo Rack though so the max limpets I could take were obviously similar. I set off on my virgin expedition to Don I think was the System name. Arrived at my destination and scanned for some hot spots in the Icy ring. I could not believe my luck when I hit upon Void Opal Hot Spot Yeh here I come. I dived straight in to the zone and pulsed for some likely looking rocks to blow up. I was very excited at this point. Found about three glowing rocks, so sent my Limpet drone out to get the low down on the content, the first tow contained water 
the third had Peroxide in it I though was for hairdressers!! Any unperturbed I flew on into the ring scanning and pulsing away about 20 rocks later I found what i had been looking for this was about an hour in by the way. A rock with fissures. Great I launched my Seismic charges into the fissures. I had bout a Fixed mounted weapon though so my first 4 or 5 just bounced off the rock until at last one hit home and count down began. I did managed to secure another 2 charges before it blew. boy did it blow, shields down to 50% rock every where and ice all over the windshield could nt see a blooming thing for a while. But my contacts page was saying Low temp diamonds out there 5 in total Great lets go get em. I managed to launch 2 limpets drones to pick up two but the other 3 LTD could not lock on strange I thought. I took me a while as the Vis was still pretty crap in there but I worked out the last 3 LTD,s were still attached to the rock. Bugger the rock was spinning like a top now this was going to take some doing to dislodge my prize. "SCAN detected" what no, it cannot be, only have 75% of a LTD in my hopper and someone wants to dance already. I sit quietly in my ASP hoping that they will just go away. Luckily they see me as some worthless slime that they have no time for, phew. Ok back to my spinning top, to cut a long story short about 30mins later ~I have managed to separate the LTD's and have them in my hopper and I have mined my first LTD. Time to get them back to Spring Gateway. An uneventful journey home I sold them on for about 1.5 million I think. So do I think it was all worth it, prob not unless I get better at it as I spent a good 1-2 hours playing for 1.5 mil I could have got it a lot quicker running passenger missions. But not to say i didn't enjoy it I did and I will def go back to it.
For me now I am off to Colonia I have wanted to go for a long time just never fancied the 2-3 week journey time. Well now is the time, so I have packed up some lunch and I am setting off very soon.
