Back in space after four years

A few weeks ago I became curious how the game feels after such a long break, if it's still fun to fly around in space. And I can answer that with a solid "Yes". I logged in with the old credentials, my old ASP Explorer was still in the hangar bay where I left it, just a little bit dusty. And the flight controls even felt familiar after this time. The usual missions are still available (with the same rewards) so I grabbed a bunch of them and tried to deliver the cargo and information to the target station. Ship's released, off I go... thrusters up and forward through the tiny opening of the coriolis station into the open space... yep, feels quite the same as back then. Ok, planet scanning, fire groups, oh, a change: you can now scan planets with probes shot away like little satellites and see how they impact on the planet surface. That's really cool. Now back to my missions, galaxy map, plot route and hyperjump! It still has the nice animations and you are still spitten out near the sun of the target system :-) Where's the station I have to fly to? Ah over there... rotate ship, accelerate aand... wait! A bunch of some thousands of lightseconds distance to the station. Something I haven't missed, flying into the same direction for minutes without anything to happen. AAH, what? Interdiction? Damn those pirates! I didn't want to fight so I escaped the interdiction and after some more minutes I landed safely on the landing pad and could deliver the cargo and receive my reward... way too few credits on the long term, but for now that was fun and definitely a game that I will continue to play!
