Tionisla [08.06.3302]

Yesterday Galnet posted an article that intrigued the hell out of me. Apparently an antique Mk. III Cobra of some unknown pilot was recently interred to the famous Tionisla orbital graveyard. I've only ever seen the graveyard once, when I was a kid, but I know all the stories; commanders that went missing looking for mysterious things out in the black, trekking across the incredibly dangerous and hostile Formidine Rift, which, with today's frameshift tech is much easier than it used to be, even still, the bridge across is only possible in a top tier explorer. That sector of space has always been, in some capacity, on my radar. The interred ship apparently left some sort of code too: 'OTSEAFOTSEAF' claimed to be of little significance. I wonder if it's just 'EAFOTS' caught on a loop? There's a region of space right near the Heart and Soul nebulae called just that, just beyond the Formidine Rift. The other question is, who the hell was this commander? Why after a hundred years have they reopened the graveyard to a new ship? Is someone on the inside trying to broadcast a message, that would otherwise go unseen, to the whole galaxy? There's so much speculation around it that possibilities are unlimited.
I'll admit it's not a lot to go on, but I was just looking for a new place to visit. Even if it's fruitless, I'll get to see those two gorgeous nebulae up close and personal, which is excuse enough for me. I'm fortunate enough to say that money isn't a concern, so taking a few weeks to investigate my own little mystery and print my name on some previously undiscovered worlds seems appetizing enough. I think I will.
Tomorrow we'll get to work outfitting the Anaconda for some long range travel, restock on food and coffee (lots of coffee), and maybe do a little cleaning if I'm going to be staying in the Anaconda for a while. Hopefully Verity doesn't drive me insane, space madness is bad enough as it is.
