06 August 3301 --- Quiet Space

Mining. I had seen many many pilots mine in my time as a bounty hunter. I'm not dropping it at all, frankly. It's a good way of making money, albeit dangerous at times, but mining was something I wanted to pick up again after selling my Vulture, as I had mentioned before. I had to recall my previous time with miners, as they slowly scratched the surface of asteroids and fly close to collect chunks that break off. It wasn't hard. Heck, it was something I was aware of before. I just have a better equipped ship for the job this time.

With the net pointing me to a mining location over in Jura, I jumped my way into the port, holding my cargo of limpets. I will say it was a learning experience with how many I should have brought. I started with 40 limpets in my 80 ton cargo hold, but with how fast I was collecting chunks into my refinery, I figured I needed less, the next time around. I figured 10 would do it, but that proved to be too little. I think 20 is a good amount for the next time I head out. Regardless, I did as I knew I should. Fire the mining laser and let the limpets collect them for me. Easy enough.

I have to say though. While exploring was a bit anxious for me, mining is a relaxing task to do. At least when there aren't any pirates nearby. And it's nice when there's nothing around you but asteroids. It lets my head just drone ahead one something that doesn't tax my brain. Sometimes I wonder how I graduated from the Academy. It feels weird with this manner of thought process I have. But here I am I suppose. Alive, Dangerous, and rolling with credits, so I guess I have that going for me. I have to reiterate though. Just flying from asteroid to asteroid with your limpets following and collecting chunks feels a bit zen to me.

Not much else that I can say about today. Made a million. Slow compared to other days, but it's not bad, at least with how I spent my time. I'll do this for a while and see how it goes.
