Empty hands

So... the trip to the Conflux sites was pretty uneventful. As I used the trodden paths between the Colonia Council outposts I passed only one or two previously untagged systems. As I am just travelling this time round that is no problem though. Experienced a nice sunset at Amundsen Terminal. Planets close to their sun really yield spectatcular views.
The area around the Conflux sites has been combed by hundreds if not thousands of Commanders. Everything has been scanned, mapped and then mapped again. Still, I can't get rid of that lingering feeling that we are missing something. It all doesn't come together: why would someone potentially compromise his own mission by drugging the crew before the mission is finished? There was plenty of time on the way home to get rid of them. If the Dynasty missions were thought to map potentially habitable planets, why is none of the sites in a system with an earth-like world? So many questions, no answers. And whatever fine detail might have been missed at the Conflux sites has long since been crushed under countless SRV wheels...
I don't know... I'll hang around for a day or two investigating random systems around the sites. Even if I don't find anything I can still stock up some materials. Found a nice pair of planets with a good amount of Selenium. That way I won't leave *completely* empty handed.
