You never really understand where you stand on anything until you are sitting face to face with an extremely cold dark ship's cockpit. I don't much remember much prior to a few days ago. The SAR team that pulled me out of the wreckage said that my ship's Life support system had somehow flash-frozen when it was exposed to the vacuum, and in doing such it literally cryogenically froze me in the cockpit.
I didn't think that was even possible.. but liquid oxygen is an interesting thing and who really understands space anyway? The Salvage crew that found my old Viper said that it had no power what so ever and showed some pretty extreme damage from multiple weapon types.
Eh not surprised I probably did something stupid, someplace I had no support or means of escape. That's what happens when your young dumb and flying over 5 tons of space ship with weapons active.
But here I am. I pulled a courier mission to ROSS 733 and have been running between Courier missions and Bounty hunting. I seem to have gotten pretty good at the bounty hunting aspect and will likely keep pulling in those bonds as I'm able.
Also found myself on the doorstep of the Earth Defense Fleet Recruiting station. Wasn't too sure about it at first but seems I'd been making headway in the Federation Navy with all the Bounties I've been bringing in. So not only am I a Recruit in the Federation Navy, I find myself a Recruit for the Earth Defense Fleet.
Funniest thing I find about the whole situation.. until I get to Midshipman I can't even reenter SOL space.
Welcome to my crazy life. or Mundane. And to think it all started with liquid oxygen exposed to the vacuum of space.
