How is it, that every time you lock onto a wanted target and are just about to open up with everything you've got a Federal Agent just decides they have to fly between you and your target. Twice today while cleaning up bounties at a HiREZ location Federal agents slapped me with bounties for accidentally hitting their ships when engaging a target. The one who took so much offense he chased me out of the system shooting at me.
Well, and of course they impound your ship and send you off to a prison station to "pay for your crime!". So a free one-way trip to pick up the ASPX and then back at it after six or so jumps.
Spent most of the morning clearing out conflict zones, not going to put in the location on the basis of OPSEC but was one of the first I didn't end up being spaced and rebuying my ship. So I'm learning, which is a good thing. Tested out the load out and tried multi cannons instead of regular Cannons. I don't see the appeal. Swapped out two of my Beam lasers and put in two more cannons and now that is a good time.
Cleaning up bounties is quite a bit faster with this loadout. Even in the Conflict zones, it works pretty well long as I can keep on their rear and avoid playing joist. I didn't realize just how much some of those Commanders out there enjoy ramming their ship into everything and anything that has a shield on it.
Also saw two ships literally lose all their weapons, engines, and life support yet still manage not to be destroyed. I knew it was possible but had yet to see it. Two today, one went into a death spiral so hard that it spun on-axis out into space, I finally gave up the chase after following it for the better part of 10 KM away from the conflict zone. Part of me hopes SAR picks them up, another part of me wants to know what the hell they had for Hull Armor on that thing..
Might try my hand at some deep core mining after building up the wallet a bit more. We shall see.
