The Twins Garden

Situated in a rather sparse region of the Perseus arm, with few habitable planets around, this system has a wide variety of worlds orbiting its two stars. The most striking are the two Earth-likes orbiting each other, but there is also a nearby ammonia world orbiting a planet as its moon. The distant second star has two water worlds orbiting it, one which has an ammonia atmosphere. Much to my relief there was also a FC in system, and I took the opportunity toLand, and see some human faces. It was only 12 days since I left Fujin, but in all that time I had only uttered soft coos of delight or curses. It was good once more to speak and hear the voices of my fellow man.
The FC Circus Maximus even had a bar and I was able to settle in and have a gin or two. A little later a shift must have ended as a half dozen FC workers joined my and we partied into the wee hours. It was here I met Amelia Dearbourn. She was tired of seeing the same faces for the last 6 months and invited me to her rooms. I accepted, but a gentleman doesn’t tell stories.
While we lay together in a state of tired bliss we talked of many things, her cat and little niece back home, my ship and father. I asked her what the carrier was doing out here. She said that the Circus Maximus was a temporary replacement for the DSSA carrier that was supposed to be on duty in Kepler’s Crest. She spun a story about how the captain of the DSSA FC that had previously been here, had gone off the deep end, and one day jumped in his Asp and disappeared. Two and a half years later and he still hasn’t returned. The Circus Maximus took up station some six months ago and has another 18 months on station before the DSSA FC will be here to replace them. She also told me so far in the past 6 months only 5 ships have arrived here, including one that left outward bound to the same destination I have planned, just a week ago.
I’m going to take a few days here to catalog all the worlds and to spend a little more time with Amelia. But soon I must be off once more. Livingstone Point beckons.
