"Hello Stannis, remember me?" Kira Goméz asked in a warm, gentle voice, a sweet smile on her lips but a mocking glint in her eyes."Kira?" Stannis Jellicoe asked in shock and surprise at the hologram which had just appeared in his cabin.
"Well done you, you remember my name." Kira replied, the mockery in her eyes deepening but never reaching her voice.
"I could hardly go to Alioth to look for you or try to holo-call you could I? How's things?"
"Oh it's been wonderful. I spent three days in a cell, my career's overand I've only just been allowed to leave the planet because some overgrown schoolboy can't think of the galaxy beyond his cockpit but apart from that everything's gone swimmingly."
"What about Corrin? What's happened to him?" Jellicoe asked about their son.
"He's had to leave his home, his school, lost all his friends and move away from everything he's ever known because my idiot sperm donar wrote the book on how not to be a father, but I'm sure he'll get over it eventually."
"Children are tougher than you think."
"They shouldn't have to be."
"Kira I'm sorry."
"You'd better be, and trust me you're going to make it all up to me, starting now."
"Truly Kira if I'd had any idea this would have happened I'd never have dragged you into it."
"I know. If I thought otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation, and it's opened my eyes to a lot of things about the Alliance and the galaxy, but you do owe me and you're going to start paying it off."
"what do you need?" Jellicoe asked.
"Pick me up from New California, then we'll talk."
