3 month Exploration Contract

The details were simple:* leave known space
* log every discovery
* examine and sample surface life
I handed my credentials over, and said "the job is mine." I have less than a week to get prepared and to set out. I've flown solo for more time than this contract, so I should have no issues. Infamous last words.
When I get back, I need to get prepared for my other contract: combat in a Beluga. What was I thinking with that one?
