HIP 72235, Currie Horizons -- HIP 72235 Silver United Org VP Warner Hutchinson anticipates that consumers will be spending more this holiday season than last year, he stated at a Monday press conference.
“With a booming market and most saying that their finances are better than they were a year ago, it’s not surprising that the majority plans to spend more this Holiday season,” Hutchinson said, citing data provided by the HIP 72235 Crimson Brotherhood's Lazzwitz Research Institute.
The LRI poll found that 63 percent of system residents plan to spend more on holiday gifts than they did last year, while 31 percent plan to spend less and 5 percent were undecided.
When asked why their research numbers did not represent a full 100% of respondents, Brotherhood spokesman Jimmy Snivel stated "Well, it's hard to add things up when someone is shooting missiles at you."
The Lazzwitz Research Institute has recently been the target of aerial and ground assaults from unknown aggressors, resulting in the destruction of critical food stores and the theft of sensitive trade data. Though no group has officially claimed responsibility for the attacks, the Crimson Brotherhood suspects that they were carried out by the Progressive Party of Chac Cimih, a neighboring socialist political group known for acts of violence.
When asked, Silver United Org VP Hutchinson stated "It wouldn't surprise me, considering the bloody history of the PPCC and their ongoing efforts to monopolize local agricultural markets. Whoever it is, they must be held accountable for these heinous acts."
An unnamed PPCC spokeswoman refused to discuss the claims, dismissing them as "fascist capitalist nonsense".
