Jath Progressive Post - December 15, 3302Delanos Logistics Group Awarded Millions In Government Contracts Despite Scandals
Chac Cimih Chronicle on Tuesday night released a bombshell, revealing that Labour of Ataciangir has abruptly ended an investigation into the private security and shipping firm Delanos Logistics Group after one of its employees engaged and killed a member of the Ataciangir System Defense Force approximately one week ago.
LoA Crime Investigator Michael Richter said a DLG contractor, Jean Carroll, told Richter that he "may have kind of accidentally killed a cop on purpose".
In the investigative report, which according to the Chronicle was corroborated by his partner in a separate statement, Richter went on to describe the admission more fully (emphasis added): “Mr. Carroll’s statement was made in a flippant, dismissive tone of voice. He just sort of shrugged his shoulders and was like 'Meh?' His tone and demeanor certainly gave me pause, though the incident did occur close to a number of combat zones where things can happen quite unexpectedly."
The Jath Progressive Post would like to point out that the Delanos Logistics Group had no active security contracts in Ataciangir at the time of the killing, though they did have an active subcontract with Loko O Blue Life Limited, who in turn is providing wartime medical services in neighboring system Bhagui. While the specific terms of that subcontract are unknown, unnamed sources have claimed that DLG assets were openly engaging in offensive combat operations there.
"Nonsense." DLG owner and CEO Vin Delanos said in a press statement. "Our fleet of top of the line medical escort ships have strict orders to use their state of the art weaponry only in defense of our assets and the assets of our clients. Delanos Logistics Group provides logistical and security support for our customers, and operates in strict accordance with Federation law. We do not participate in direct combat operations of any kind."
Early Tuesday, it was reported that DLG had been awarded a supply and logistics contract worth millions by the HIP 72235 Coalition, currently engaged with Progressive Party of Chac Cimih for control of portions of Hydrae Sector NS-U c2-9. As of Tuesday evening, several Delanos Group assets were seen departing Bhagui.
