Federal Navy Times - December 15, 3302Meet 'The Hornets'
Currie Horizons, HIP 72235 -- With local combat assets strained to their limit, the Federal Navy has deployed Squadron 236 'The Hornets' from their home base at 45 D Opiuchi to HIP 72235. FNS-236 will augment and support local government forces in their fight against totalitarian regimes in Hydrae Sector NS-U c2-9.
"Our primary mission will be as combat support for local Naval forces." said LCDR Stanislav Kuznetsov, CO of the fighter squadron, who then went on to commend local Commanders on their progress in the campaign thus far. "The 'Hippies'" (military slang for residents of various HIP systems) "have achieved some brilliant victories in 'c2-9'. Our role will be to secure and reinforce those gains."
When interviewed, men and women of the squadron showed eagerness to get into the fray.
"I feel the need...!" shouted LT Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell, who quickly followed it up with "The need for speed!" in unison with his wingmate, LTJG Nicole 'Goose' Bradshaw.
"The men and women of the 236th are fit and ready to fight." LCDR Kuznetsov then proudly stated.
Local traffic controllers were less enthusiastic. "They tend to boost out of the mail slot... which hoses things up pretty good." said one underwhelmed individual.
The 236th invites you to join them for a meet and greet, including complimentary refreshments on Pad 36 of Currie Horizons on Saturday, December 17th.
