Let's Take Back HIP 22460

Commanders! We've crossed the halfway point of this war with the Thargoids having destroyed five Titans. Congratulations on an effective strike against Indra, she put up a fight but was no match for our concerted human attack. As we look towards the next targets, our efforts have been rewarded by engineer Ram Tah with a breakthrough in anti-guardian zone resistance. We can now use powerful Guardian weapons inside Titan space, and other corrosive systems controlled by our insect nemeses. Which brings me to my plea - let's bring the fight to HIP 22460, the site of the Proteus Wave and resting place of the Bright Sentinel!

I remember answering the call to defend allied vessels in the aftermath of the Proteus Wave misfiring, I was on the Musashi the night it happened. Although I absolutely blame Salvation, the Witch, whatever you want to call him, for provoking this galactic war with his incompetence, there were thousands more lives lost that day, which should have been prevented. We couldn't have forseen this wave having a crippling effect on our technology, and subsequently forcing us to use multicanon bullets to fight advanced alien weaponry. But now, with Ram Tah's help, we have a chance to carry Gauss deep into infected territory.

Like many other Commanders, I believe the system HIP 22460 holds more secrets than we've uncovered, and this new breakthrough might be the tipping point to finding a long-term solution to anti-guardian zones. Maybe if we kill enough Thargoids in that space, it will trigger an invasion of the system and continue the narrative of the Proteus Wave. Interceptors will continuously appear in system, so it's a good opportunity for AX pilots to earn the "Cerberus' Bane" multi-goid challenge rank.

Grab your best AX build, add resistance to your Guardian gauss canons and Guardian Module Reinforcements, and kill some bugs above the Proteus Wave!
