Today has been a bit of a setback. With the recent Terrorist attacks I had figured that the Corsairs may have been involved and they have been demanding a large amount of Military Grade Equipment and High Yield Explosives. With that in mind I had a contact install Subspace Tracking Devices in the Equipment and Explosives so that I might figure out what they were being used for. This is where the setback has come in: The Imperial Corsairs are now at war with another faction named Straylight a small group of criminals who enjoy shooting down new pilots and defenseless cargo ships and apparently have a grudge against one of the Leaders of the Imperial Corsairs after he left their ranks. I was unfortunate enough to encounter one of them, a Commander Desgonia, while smuggling the Military Equipment and Explosives that I had painstaking implanted with Subspace Trackers to the Corsairs primary Hub. As is their usual tactic of attacking weaponless vessels I was assailed by Desgonia and forced to use an Escape Pod and my Type-9 Freighter was obliterated. This setback is going to take weeks to rectify but may provide a distraction and allow me to get in even deeper into the Corsair's ranks.
I encountered Desgonia again and learned something very interesting about the man's personality: It turns out he is a complete coward! It is said that many criminals are only willing to shoot if what they shoot at can't shoot back and apparently this holds extra true for him. While escorting other members of the Corsairs on a few delivery missions Desgonia entered the Lozin system and attempted to accost one of the Cargo Runners! I immediately moved to intercept him however after a short scan he turned tail and ran with his tail tucked soo far up his back end that I'm amazed his Python was even able to make the jump to Hyperspace! This war may be the perfect opportunity to get deeper into the Corsair's ranks and learn more about their Illicit activities and I'm looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead as my trigger finger has been getting real itchy as I'm surrounded by all these criminals!
