"GET UP! KEEP IT NICE AND SLOW." A sudden loud voice punctuated the quite atmosphere that startled Stryker and Evy. He sat up in the bed in a confused daze trying to figure out what was going on. He spotted through the haze of lingering sleep an intruder and took him a moment to recognize that he didn't know this individual.
The intruder was wearing a black EVA suit, his head likewise, in a black helmet. In his hand a firearm was pointed at the two caught unaware. "Hands up..." He quickly jerked it indicating where they should stand. Stryker slowly shifted his weight raising his hands as he swung his legs over the bed.
The intruder jerked the weapon impatiently again. "Over there...Keep your hands up...."
The man with the gun growled. "I said, over there...."
Stryker stood upright, his broad to the intruder. Evy scrambled to her feet but tripped.
"I said, OVER THERE!" The man voice was even more impatient then spoke into a comm at the nape of his neck. "Two in here. The big one, and the girl..."
"Keep an eye on the big guy," answered a voice across the comm "...you saw what he did back at Greeboski's Outpost. I want them secured."
Stryker and Evy slowly made their way to the wall.
"Face the wall! Hands behind your back...."
Stryker was trying not to laugh. "All part of the experience..." he mused to Evy.
She shot him a dirty look.
A moment later, he heard another set of footfall enter into the room.
"That makes all of them," the new voice was female. There was a pause as the footsteps came closer to Stryker "...No mistakes..." He felt the sharp sudden impact of her weapon's hilt hit the back of his head. In that moment, he knew this was not part of the experience offered by Excellent Experiences and regretted making light of it as he slipped into the consuming darkness.
Stryker's head was a throbbing mess as he resurfaced back to the conscience world. He groaned in pain and found that he was gagged with some dirty stinky rag. His vision was blurry, but slowly regaining its clarity. He found that his cheek pressed against the hard cold steel of bare floor plating. His shoulders were sore and determined it must have been from his hands being tied behind his back. The zip ties used to bind his wrists together were cutting into the skin and his hands tingled from the lack of circulation. He tried to move his legs and found that his ankles were tied together in a similar fashion.
Stooped over him was a hawk faced woman with sharp edges to her features. Her striking beauty was marred by a gnarled gash like scar across the left side of her face. The lost eye was replaced with a cybernetic implant that glowed with a blue aura. Her hair was died a striking platinum white and cut with the same acute angles as her face. She grabbed his face with her sharp nails, turning his head, scrutinizing Stryker's features. He stared back at her with hard eyes.
"What do we do with them Rose?" It was the man from earlier.
The hard woman mused for a moment. "We'll sell them into slavery, of course...." She continued to judge Stryker's features, "...Though I might keep this one..." she smiled releasing her claws. She stood and suddenly kicked him hard in his stomach.
Stryker grunted.
"Of course, he'll need to be reconditioned..." She snapped her fingers, "Sit him up."
Two men hurried over and sat him upright, as Rose walked over to Madam Tri'qua. Her booted feet clanking against the metal floor.
"Now, Madam. To business."
Madam Tru'qua tried to talk, but the words were lost in her gag.
"What I want, is quite simple. I want you to transfer all of your personal assets into this offshore account." She waved a pad in her hand.
Tri'qua again tried to talk.
Rose lowered onto her haunches facing the scared eccentric old woman. She mockingly placed a hand to her ear to better hear her with "What was that?"
Tri'qua tried to talk again.
"Oh...." She shook her head, "...that is a shame...:" stood and turned pulling out her firearm. She held it to Commander Higgen's head. He shut his eyes and turned his head away from the barrel of the weapon. "...I'm a reasonable woman...." Rose continued, "...I'll give you to the count of three to reconsider..." She paused for a moment with a wicked grin.
Tri'qua frantically tried to communicate as Stryker fought against the zip ties.
"...Three." There was the loud shot of gunfire. Evy screamed into her gag, as Stryker's face was splatted with warm blood and brain matter. Commander Higgen's body slumped over. The crimson fluid slowing oozing out and over the metal decking.
She holstered her weapon, squatted back down and roughly removed Madam Tri'qua's gag. "Now, you know I'm not playing games...." She continued to smile, "...the transfer."
