The Hunt: Chapter 4
29 Jan 2018Stryker Aune
Stryker stood quietly in his personal living quarters nestled inside a barren mountain range. Shirtless, his massive muscular frame cut an impressive figure in his baggy pants and bare feet upon the cool sandstone. About him dim light casted softly against the rough walls as flickers of shadows danced about. Dark calloused hands reached up and cupped his chiseled face.Yit’chak’s thick accent was soft and deep. “You are far away, Sven.” The Degastani native was large and muscular compared to most men, but next to Stryker he appeared to be small.

He thought back to simpler times when he was nothing but a salvaging hand, working in the cool mountain air of his hometown Vintersten on that small blue world tucked in the Sowiio star system some 200 light years away. In his youth he’d hated it. Now, he found himself longing to be back there. To be back on the shores of the great ocean. To walk along the paths into the verdant and sweet smelling pine forests.
