The Hunt: Chapter 6

Overall, Adam was a friendly individual. He lived life looking for the best in people, and he could usually find it. But this large mechanic was a puzzle. True, he had admitted to being a bounty hunter, and perhaps it was all the bloodshed that made the man taciturn. But that didn't quite click with his past experiences with other bounty hunters. They were usually boastful, and liked to brag about the captured or killed they had notched up on their ship. They walked along in silence, which didn’t seem to bother his companion one bit. Adam shrugged, he was use to long stretches of absolute quiet. Months of it, out there among the stars.


As they walked, a massive twisted mess of thick metal spikes and plates loomed over them. Adam took in a sharp breath as he marveled at the monstrosity of it all. The wicked spikes struck him as familiar and regarded Stryker’s own guarded disposition. It had been said that a ship was the physical embodiment of its commander...
